Campsites around Lac de Serre-Poncon
Since the middle of the last century, the Lac de Serre-Poncon reservoir, the largest artificial lake in Europe, has been located in the Hautes-Alpes. It is a popular destination among water sports enthusiasts, but also offers excellent possibilities if you only want to swim or look around in the area.
Because it's so popular, you will find more than twenty campsites around the lake. Quite a few of them have gathered around the eastern end of the lake, near Embrun, a beautiful old town that towers above the surroundings, located on Le Roc.
view on the map Of course you will also find campsites elsewhere along the lake, such as on the south side Camping Huttopia Lac De Serre-Ponçon (3 stars, 300 places), with its own access to the lake. Or, on the north bank, Camping Le Roustou (3 stars, 180 places), with a private beach.
